You may never have heard of Irena Sendler but she is one remarkable woman, a Polish Catholic who put her life on the line to save others. She was the ringleader behind a successful plot to save an estimated 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw ghetto during World War II. Today she would have turned 100. Raise a toast to this saintly woman, recently departed. God bless!
