We have an office cat now. She is four months old. Henry picked her
out at the end of cherry season from the girl who worked checking in
customers, Amanda. Callie is a beautiful calico with a black face and
orange, tan and yellow markings. Anyhow, Callie got awfully lonely spending so much time at the orchard house with Frank, Henry and me spending most of our time at the condo in town. So Frank loaded her up into a cat carrying case, and we set up shop for her in the office. Her litter box and food and water bowls are in the bathroom.
Callie is quite the playful lass and loves to jump up on our desks and scramble our papers. Unfortunately, she decided to use our good natured videographer Tim Snider as a tree and climbed up his back on Monday and drew some blood. His good nature remained but it was tested. Our intern Allyson taught Callie to play catch with some of our office-made toys: recycled paper balls. I’ve never known a cat to fetch.
