We had our Simple Living National Advisory board meeting two weeks ago. It is a phone-in meeting that we hold three times a year and always a time when our advisors from around the country give us input and ideas. It was quite a lively session this past week. Hurricane Katrina was on everyone’s minds. One board member suggested that Simple Living address the problem of disaster preparedness in one of the programs and provide additional resources on the website. Another board member said doing so would be getting us far afield from our work. That we should focus on community. Fascinating to get great thinkers together and engage in lively discussion. Our board meetings have already yielded many great ideas. Stan King in California suggested we do a segment on “noise pollution” and we have done so for season #2.
