The day started out gloriously. Henry and I went to Sunday School at Central United Methodist Church in Mount Airy which we attend every Sunday we’re in town. Last week, the class had been abuzz talking about ways to help the Katrina survivors and we were planning to adopt two families in Mount Airy. We took an offering in class and one of the attendees who owned rental property was going to donate his space. But then this week, it appears that no families are coming. And I have to admit, we all felt a bit of a let-down that we weren’t able to help.
