SHOOT DAY! My day started bright and early with a trip to the hairdresser’s to be “beautified” before getting in front of the camera. Our production budget is bare bones and I am doing my own makeup and generally wardrobe, but my one luxury is having my hair done professionally by Neil Combs, the former hairdresser to Miss Mount Airy. Somehow, I can never make my own hair cooperate (or soar) as Neil can. He just has the touch. He lives over the shop and sometimes comes down early before opening to accommodate our demanding production schedule. As I sat here this morning, I thought about how important it was to take time to appreciate the little moments in life. Everyone should be pampered every once in a while, and appreciate the pampering when it happens.
