Wanda's Diary Entries

No doubt about it, my appearance last July at the American Library Association’s annual meeting as an Auditorium Speaker ranks as one of my highlights of the year 2009. The large crowd of librarians gathered in Chicago came for many purposes: to network, learn about new books and new technologies, and many came to my session on a Sunday morning to learn how libraries could “go green” and to pick up a complimentary copy of my hot-off-the-press anthology, “Less is More,” edited with Cecile Andrews for New Society.
Imagine my delight to learn — just this morning — that American Libraries magazine has launched a green blog of its own, inspired in part by that catalytic Annual meeting last July.
Read for yourself Laura Bruzas’ crisp debut blog: http://americanlibrariesmagazine.org/greenlibrary/birth-blog. Now that she’s whetted our appetites, I can hardly wait for the next installment!
