Remember our veterans. This is a day when we should all give thanks for the fighting men and women who’ve have protected our nation and others through the years. I always think of my late stepfather, Colonel Joseph B. Whittaker, on this day. He was a decorated flyer in World War II and once flew a mission with Jimmy Stewart. Jimmy and Joe were both Pennsylvanians and patriots. May they rest in peace.
