Henry’s teacher, Mrs. Jamie Smith, knows what she’s doing. Last week, the assignment was for Henry to design a pumpkin—jack ‘o’lantern on construction paper at home. But this was no solo project. The family was to help. So Henry and I found time yesterday afternoon to sit down and color and paste this prize paper. We took scraps from the orange chair that we’d had recovered for the show and glued them on the side of the pumpkin. We added feathers and some black eyes in plastic which we’d salvaged from another art project. The whole concoction was quite enchanting, says Mom!
