Henry and I try to swim at Reeves Community Center’s indoor swimming pool on weekends whenever we have the chance. I do my laps, Henry swims around, sometimes playing with other kids who happen to be there. For the last couple of weeks the two of us have tossed a foam frisbee after my laps and his swim. Usually it’s a just a mom and son kind of game. But today, two girls—both younger and smaller than Henry—tries to get into the act. What gave me a “proud Mom moment” was when Henry would catch the frisbee but offer it to the girls to let them take a toss. Neither girl was a skilled frisbee tosser, but he encouraged them to try. Beat, beat my heart!
