Kathy Treanor
Senior CEO, Piedmont Land Conservancy, Greensboro, NC
Kathy Treanor is the founder and first President and Executive Director of the Piedmont Land Conservancy. Presently, she serves as the Chief Executive Officer. She was appointed by Governor Easley to the 2002-2007 term on the North Carolina Zoological Park Council and she is an alumnus of Leadership Greensboro and Piedmont Triad Leadership Network. At this time she is serving on the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, One North Carolina Naturally and Land Stewardship Committee.
Raised on a land grant farm in Maryland, Treanor is the past owner of Green Leaves, Inc. and Carolina Foliage, Inc. She received her BS degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. Treanor is the mother of five children and five grandchildren. She likes to bicycle in New Zealand and horseback and fly fish in Wyoming.
