Dale Pollock

Dale M. Pollock is a faculty member in The School of Filmmaking at The North Carolina School of the Arts and President of Peak Productions of Los Angeles, CA and Green Street Productions of Winston-Salem, NC. Pollock has produced 13 feature films, including HOUSE OF CARDS, SET IT OFF, MRS. WINTERBOURNE, and BLAZE.
Pollock began his career as the Entertainment Editor for the Santa Cruz Sentinel and quickly moved on to become Chief Film Critic Daily Variety and later Chief Film Reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Pollock has been published in numerous magazines such as Esquire, GQ, People, and Rolling Stone.
Since 1999, Pollock developed the CinEthics conference, involving every major film program in the country in an in-depth discussion of film content and ethics. He also initiated the ongoing Films on Fourth series of independent and foreign language art films at the Stevens Center that has attracted more than 50,000 film-goers since its inception in 2003. In recognition of Pollock’s effort, he was presented with the Downtown Excellence Award in February 2005.
