Carol Holst is founder and co-director of Simple Living America, a national, non-profit membership organization for the general public centered on voluntary simplicity. Part of Cornell University’s Center for Religion, Ethics & Social Policy, Simple Living America calls for balance in a complex world and promotes the essence, freedom and satisfaction of simplicity.
Based in Los Angeles, CA, Carol participates on the Sierra Club’s national Sustainable Consumption Committee, in addition to her long-term support of Simple Living with Wanda Urbanska.
As an early childhood educator for several decades, she founded The Learning Place pre-school in the Los Angeles area, where her daughters were both born on her birthday, five years apart.
